Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager - Stormwater

Job Summary

Manage assigned projects and develop client accounts by marketing, negotiating scopes and fees, and coordinating project staff. Maintain superior relationships with clients while cross-selling services and communicating with the Group Leader. Simultaneously oversee mid-sized, small, or single larger projects by preparing specifications, completing design details, and writing objective summary reports. Collaborate with local governments on TMDL and MS4 Regulatory Compliance issues. Requires a P.E. registration in Virginia or other states, 6+ years in stormwater civil engineering, and proficiency in CADD or Civil 3D. Salary range $90,000-$140,000.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia, and/or one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business
  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia in a timely manner
  • 6+ years of experience in civil engineering related to Stormwater management
  • A demonstrated ability to manage the schedule and budget for multiple projects at the same time
  • Has experience in marketing and supervision of the technical work of others
  • Working knowledge of CADD
  • Working knowledge of civil 3D software
  • Must be able to maintain superior relationships with each of his/her clients
  • Must be able to cross-sell Timmons Group services which may fall outside of his/her direct professional expertise
  • Must be able to engage in ongoing communication with the Group Leader
  • Must be able to manage several mid-sized projects, multiple small projects or a single larger project simultaneously
  • Must be able to prepare specifications materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs
  • Must be able to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project
  • Must be able to work to complete design details and plan sets
  • Must be able to perform research and write objective summary reports
  • Must be able to work with Local Governments on TMDL and MS4 Regulatory Compliance issues

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional registration (P.E.) in Virginia (if not obtained in a timely manner)
  • Civil 3D software (preferred over general working knowledge)
