Job Summary
Civil Project Manager for Data Center Construction in Chesterton, IN responsible for managing data center Civil, Site Development, Structural and Architectural scope from site layout through turnover. Lead coordination with civil/site contractors, structural steel, concrete, envelope and architectural trades; manage budgets, schedules, permitting packages, and long-lead procurement; develop project plans, execute changes, and report progress to senior leadership. Requires hands-on back-office tasks (change orders, budgets, paperwork) and strong collaboration with vendors, clients, and stakeholders. Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, BIM tools (Revit, Bluebeam), and MS Office; knowledge of building codes, permitting, and constructability for mission-critical facilities; experience with hyperscale/colo/enterprise data centers; client-facing and proposal support.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects as an Owner or as a General Contractor (CSA-driven delivery preferred)
- Experience converting existing buildings into data centers or brownfield data center construction is a big plus
- Experience with budgets in excess of 200mm and above
- 5-10 years relevant experience in the Data Center Construction Industry within the CSA space
- BA / BS / Associates Degree a plus (ideally in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, or Architecture)
- Proficiency in understanding building codes, permitting, variances, local regulations, and standards
- Experience with site layout, grading, utilities, stormwater, pavement, structural systems, and architectural coordination
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Self-starter with problem-solving abilities
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam, Revit, BIM, and MS Office
- Military/veteran experience a plus
- Active participation in local data center organizations
