Job Summary

Lead a project team of engineers and technicians to achieve success daily on diverse projects including Engineering Reports, Wastewater Permits, Water and Wastewater Treatment Projects, and booster pump/lift stations. Oversee planning, modeling, regulatory compliance, and permit acquisition while collaborating with the Business Development Manager to develop proposals, scopes, and fees. Nurture long-term client relationships across New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma by presenting at hearings, commissions, and council meetings to showcase community impact. Utilize excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients, staff, authorities, vendors, and contractors. Maintain a high level of organization to strategically prioritize tasks and achieve a solid life balance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Professional engineer registration in TX with the ability to get in NM & OK
  • At least 4 years of experience in civil design
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment with non-Engineer decision-makers
  • Must be able to communicate plans
  • Must be based in the Amarillo office
  • Must be available for Lubbock, Arlington, El Paso, or Frisco

Desired Qualifications

  • Water and Wastewater Treatment design experience
  • Experience with software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS
  • Knowledge of civil engineering practices, and principles, and keeping up with the ever-changing industry trends
  • Detailed understanding of engineering project management methods
  • Ability to plan a project from start to finish, taking into account time, cost, and resources
  • Maintaining a high level of organization
  • Excellent analytical skills
