Job Summary
Develop the capital improvement program budget and prepare annual capital budgets for each division. Prepare and update the San Gabriel master plan, perform strategic policy and environmental analyses, and assess key performance indicators for water system assets. Evaluate risks to water system assets, manage updates to the GIS and hydraulic model, and develop conceptual plans for capital improvement projects. Prepare feasibility studies, technical reports, and regulatory filings for the California Public Utilities Commission. Manage consultants, coordinate with public agencies, and oversee department personnel including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Reports to the Director of Engineering. Requires a Registered California Professional Engineer (P.E.) and minimum 10 years of progressively responsible engineering experience. Full-time, direct hire in El Monte, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible engineering and planning experience
- Registered California Professional Engineer (P.E)
- Water background
- Valid California drivers license and acceptable driving record
