Job Summary
Lead business development and client growth in Austin and across Texas by cultivating new relationships, expanding market presence, and generating repeat work in civil and geotechnical engineering markets. Provide technical leadership for key pursuits, including site development, geotechnical analyses, and overseeing engineering deliverables such as design calculations, drawings, and permit applications. Manage project execution, budgeting, schedule control, and profitability while supporting field activities like site investigations and construction oversight. Mentor early- and mid-career staff and collaborate with regional experts to grow capabilities. Requires a P.E. license, 8+ years of consulting experience, and a hybrid schedule with travel to client facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil or geotechnical)
- Professional licensure (P.E.)
- At least 8 years of direct engineering consulting experience
- Demonstrated strong interest and proven track record in business development of civil and geotechnical engineering projects
- Detailed understanding of geotechnical, civil, and waste containment technical concepts and regulations
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams
- Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients
- Strong oral and technical writing skills
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record for business travel
