Job Summary
Excavate in highways complying with NRSWA Code of Practice 1991 and HSG47, install new duct work and chambers, and clear blockages while adhering to Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways. Conduct rod, rope, and testing operations within the UG and PIA network, maintaining 100% customer satisfaction. Hold full UK driver's license with no more than 6 points and relevant NRSWA certifications. Salary £25,000-£30,000 per year. Xad Technologies LLC serves major telecom clients including Etisalat, Nokia, and Huawei across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and UK.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a similar environment within the telecommunications industry
- Proven skills in the area of street works with industry recognized qualifications
- Hold a full UK drivers license, with no more than 6 points
- NRSWA Essential Units 1- 3, 6,7
- Unit 1 (LA) - Location and avoidance of underground apparatus
- Unit 2 (O1) - Signing, lighting and guarding
- Unit 3 (O2) - Excavation in the highway
- Unit 4 (O3) - Reinstatement and compaction of backfill materials
- Unit 5 (O4) - Reinstatement of sub-base and road base in non-bituminous materials
- Unit 6 (O5) - Reinstatement in cold-lay bituminous materials
- Unit 7 (O6) - Reinstatement in hot-lay bituminous materials
- Unit 8 (O7) - Reinstatement of concrete slabs
- Unit 9 (O8) - Reinstatement of modular surfaces and concrete footways
