Job Summary
Lead technical design teams for water resources infrastructure projects, including flood control, storm drains, and green stormwater initiatives. Prepare comprehensive construction package deliverables, develop hydrologic and hydraulic models, and manage project proposals to grow the surface water practice in Los Angeles. Provide direction to staff, conduct independent technical reviews, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients on engineering matters and regulatory compliance. Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of five or more members while planning detailed project phases. Requires a Professional Engineer in California and eight years of drainage design experience.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS + 8 Years of related experience in drainage design or demonstrated equivalence of experience and or education
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) in CA or ability to obtain within 6 months of work

Desired Qualifications
- Master's in Civil Engineering or related field of study
- Good understanding of the Los Angeles market and state agencies, and ability to support marketing efforts in pursuing work.
- 15+ years of proven Project Management experience and supervising staff.
- Progressive project experience, including task leadership and project management roles on design-build projects.
- Experience as primary point of contact with the client and proven ability to develop client relationships.
- Strong team leader with excellent interpersonal skills who effectively works with and supports team members.
- Public presentation experience.
