Job Summary
Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution, developing case strategies, conducting legal research, and drafting pleadings and motions. Handle discovery, depositions, negotiations, court appearances, and other litigation responsibilities while analyzing contracts, business disputes, and real estate issues. Communicate directly with clients to understand objectives and provide practical legal guidance, maintaining organized case files and meeting procedural deadlines. Collaborate with colleagues while taking ownership of assigned matters. Requires an active Kansas Bar license and strong judgment; located in Wichita, KS, on-site with limited remote work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas Bar license in good standing
- Must be genuinely committed to the time, effort, responsiveness, and deadlines required to succeed in private practice
- Ability to independently manage assignments, prioritize competing deadlines, and follow matters through to completion
- Demonstrated commitment to the demands and pace of private practice
- Strong judgment, professionalism, attention to detail, and accountability
Desired Qualifications
- Civil litigation experience strongly preferred
