Job Summary

Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial and appeal. Conduct case evaluations, draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal memoranda. Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials while coordinating with expert witnesses and investigators. Maintain regular client communication and provide strategic case updates. Prepare and argue motions before state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements. This role requires 8 years of civil litigation experience and 1,800 annual billable hours. Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Citrus Heights office for in-person client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Minimum 8 years of civil litigation experience
  • Demonstrated first-chair trial experience
  • Experience independently managing cases from inception through resolution
  • Strong knowledge of California civil procedure, evidence, and litigation practice
  • Annual billable requirement: 1,800 hours
  • Must achieve the annual goal of 1,800 billable hours
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Citrus Heights office
  • Attorneys are expected to attend in person for: Client meetings, Depositions, Team meetings, Court appearances and other required proceedings
