Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, operate jackhammers and drills to break pavement, and mix, pour, and spread concrete. Guide heavy equipment operators around utilities, position and seal structural components, and tend to pumps and generators. Assist in maintaining environmental compliance, clean construction sites, and control traffic near work zones. Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and erect scaffolding while reading plans and interpreting specifications. Requires previous pipeline experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts in varying temperature extremes. Must possess full range of motion, visual acuity, and the ability to respond to voice commands in hazardous environments.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
- Previous pipeline experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing no more than 50 pounds
- Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
- Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
- Must have full range of motion consistent with age
- Must be able to climb and maintain balance on stairs, ladders, scaffolds and steel framework
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job related noises
- Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to consistently work 12 hour shifts performing construction based labor in varying temperature extremes and conditions
- Must be able to work up to 16 hours in a single shift
