Job Summary
Civil Inspector (infrastructure) at Parsons performs continuous surveillance of inspection activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications. Responsibilities include ensuring construction works align with plans, reporting contractor non-compliance to the ARE/RE, maintaining a detailed daily diary of activities, coordinating with contractors and surveyors for proper execution and QA testing, coordinating sampling and testing of materials, maintaining day-works records, interacting with the public and stakeholders to mitigate impacts, and maintaining professional conduct with the project team. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil/Construction Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, strong reading of shop drawings and method statements, proficiency with related software, and effective communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil or Construction Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of demonstrable experience in road/infrastructure construction supervision and general Wet/Dry utilities projects
- Must be able to read shop drawings, method statements and construction specifications
- Fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc.
- Good written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- ADM / DMT projects experience preferred
