Job Summary
Civil Inspector for JFK Airport terminal redevelopment project. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, overseeing field testing and commissioning, assisting with construction change orders and preparing weekly/monthly reports, reviewing and verifying construction schedules with clients, reviewing contractor payments and maintaining labor documentation and payroll certifications, ensuring site safety and permit compliance, coordinating with adjacent projects, monitoring adherence to safety, health and quality plans, minimizing public disruption, managing contractor submittals, RFIs and shop drawings, and preparing punch lists with the owner at project completion. Requires a Bachelor's in civil engineering; NYS PE license or ability to obtain; 5+ years in construction project management or related roles; OSHA 30 (preferred or obtainable); valid driver’s license; experience with airport construction projects (taxiways, runways). Parking and transportation provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- New York State Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain it
- Over 5 years of experience in construction project management or related roles
- OSHA 30-hour safety course certification preferred or ability to obtain it
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with airport construction projects (taxiways, runways) is required
