Civil Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment including blade, dozer, loader, scraper, forklift, bobcat, roller, backhoe, excavator, and tractor independently on solar field construction projects. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning while adhering to prescribed safety regulations. Interpret operating manuals, load charts, and safety rules; conduct repetitive actions like stooping and bending; and lift 50+ pound equipment. Provide timely documentation of field decisions and production tracking. Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, while following precise instructions and embodying team collaboration principles.
Required Qualifications
- GED or equivalent education
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Equipment certifications as required
- Current driver's license of proper class and necessary endorsements as required by law
- Ability to lift 50+ pound equipment, maneuvering them into their proper places
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
- Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
- This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc
Desired Qualifications
