Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Lead a team of construction workers, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to project specifications. Monitor project progress, report issues or delays to management, and assist in planning timelines. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. This permanent, full-time role in Christchurch requires proven experience as a Civil Foreman, strong leadership skills, and the ability to read blueprints.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Civil Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the building and construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Relevant certifications in construction management or safety (e.g., Site Safety Supervisor, First Aid)
- A valid driver's licence
