Job Summary
The Civil Field Engineer will support the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel expansion, assisting the Construction Manager in both field and office operations. Key responsibilities include reviewing design packages, generating RFIs, inspecting field work, coordinating concrete waste, and maintaining project schedules. The role involves drafting daily reports, assisting in material requisitions and construction documents, and establishing client relationships. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Preferred qualifications include experience in scheduling software, CAD, and 2+ years in a related role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering (or related field)
- Organizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects
- Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with Scheduling software (i.e. Microsoft Project)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
- 2+ years of related work experience
