Job Summary
Manage the tender process from start to finish, ensuring all elements are considered by stakeholders and completed within allotted time. Review tender documentation including specifications, quality, and safety requirements, and attend onsite briefings as needed. Develop winning construction methodologies, including staging plans and verifying client schedules, while conducting win/loss reporting. Undertake first principles estimates for civil construction elements in conjunction with subcontractor pricing, and prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients. This role reports directly to the FHI Northern Sales & Tendering Manager and includes initial and ongoing training in Expert Estimator Genesis software.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate knowledge within the Civil Construction Industry
- Demonstrated experience and technical knowledge of civil infrastructure projects
- pricing from first principles
- delivering projects on site
- ambitions to transition into a full-time Civil Estimator role
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including writing
- Ability to construct detailed Construction Programs in MS Project or similar
- Substantial delivery phase experience
- demonstrated site experience
- This position may require ad hoc travel
Desired Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of estimating software such as Expert Estimator or equivalent estimating packages
