Job Summary
Prepare cost estimates and proposals by analyzing drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine project scope and required contents. Perform material and labor takeoffs from drawings, prepare bid packages for vendors and subcontractors, and coordinate total estimating efforts for assigned bids. Interpret specifications and attend pre-bid meetings to develop execution plans, risk analyses, and schedule preparations. Interface with owners, A/E firms, and other contractors to provide engineering and cost data regarding project feasibility. Maintain organized files of working documents and provide post-submittal support and clarification when required.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years experience in civil estimating with experience in the refining, petrochemical, and/or LNG industry
- Ability to read client drawings, perform material and labor takeoffs and generate estimates
- Highly skilled in proposal development and client communication
- Ability to perform field walks at client job sites
- TWIC Card
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills, along with a strong attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of Google Workspace
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team to complete estimates and proposals on multiple projects
- Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
- Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
