Job Summary
Assist senior engineers and project managers in planning, designing, permitting, and documenting municipal infrastructure projects including water/wastewater systems, site development, and stormwater management. Develop preliminary plans, calculations, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software while performing field investigations and analyzing data to inform engineering solutions. Ensure all deliverables meet local, state, and federal regulatory compliance standards through close collaboration with internal staff, clients, and external stakeholders. Pursue professional development opportunities to obtain Engineer Intern certification and industry licensure within a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or closely related field)
- Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and self-management abilities
