Job Summary
Staff Civil Engineer in Environmental Services role leading or supporting a broad range of civil and environmental engineering designs for projects including high-voltage transmission, natural gas, renewable projects, and water treatment. Responsibilities include leading or supporting multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating technical work, preparing design documentation and cost estimates, directing junior staff, managing project scope, budget, schedule, QA/QC, client relations, and marketing involvement. The role requires ABET-accredited BS in Environmental/Civil Engineering (or related Eng Tech with FE), 3+ years of environmental engineering experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, travel ~10%, and strong communication and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Or Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and FE exam
- Master of Science in Environmental Engineering may substitute for 1 year of experience
- Minimum 3 years environmental engineering experience (4 years preferred)
- FE or EIT preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience overseeing construction and understanding of construction methods
- Willingness to travel (approximately 10%)
- Strong communication skills with clients, regulators, and coworkers
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
