Job Summary
Plan and design civil infrastructure for development and infrastructure projects servicing Queensland, ANZ, and the global business, focusing on roadworks, stormwater drainage, earthworks, and water/sewerage systems. Deliver detailed design solutions using industry standards and software such as 12d Drainage Network Editor and MUSIC, while managing multi-disciplinary inputs and project delivery under design-only or design-and-construct models. Lead technical and non-technical report writing tailored to diverse audiences and coordinate commercial/contractual aspects to ensure projects meet budget and timeline targets. Collaborate with high-performing teams and external clients to foster strong relationships and pursue new project opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent)
- CPEng, RPEQ (or be working towards, or be eligible through a mutual recognition or other pathway)
- 2 to 8 years' experience
- Use of design standards and practices for civil infrastructure design (for example; QUDM, Qld Main Roads MRTS & Road Drainage Manual & Standard Drawings, IECA Erosion & Sediment Control, Austroads, QUU or Water Services Australia (WSA) Standards, South-East Queensland Local Council Design Guidelines/Standards, amongst others)
- Detailed Design of Civil elements, including Civil Arrangements Design, Roadway/Carpark/Cycleway/Footpath Geometric Design, Stormwater Pit and Pipe Design (using 12d Drainage Network Editor, DRAINS or equivalent software), Stormwater Quality Assessment (using MUSIC software) PUP Conflict Assessment/Management, Design Management and coordination of multi-disciplinary design inputs
- Experience bidding, winning and delivering Civil Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time
- Commercial/contractual management of projects
- Experience of project delivery under 'design only' and 'design and construct' delivery models
- Ability to deliver on promises and to develop and maintain strong internal team and external client relationships
- In-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
