Job Summary
Oversee and lead all civil design projects from conception to completion, coordinating with clients, engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure successful execution. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets while managing resources and personnel to deliver high-quality designs within specified parameters. Lead a team of civil engineers and designers, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and conducting regular meetings to address challenges and align with goals. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to expand project scopes. Establish quality assurance processes, conduct design audits, and provide technical support during the construction phase to resolve onsite issues and verify compliance with approved documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in civil engineering project management, with a focus on design projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project) and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
- In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations
- Ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and make sound decisions under pressure
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction
- Occasional travel to project sites for meetings, inspections, or client consultations
- Flexibility in working hours
