Job Summary
Civil Engineering Project Manager based in Grande Prairie, AB, leading governance and execution of civil engineering projects. Responsibilities include leading detailed designs and production of engineering drawings and specifications for municipal utilities and road works, coordinating approvals documents, preparing cost estimates, tender documents and contracts, chairing regular project meetings, developing new business and key client relationships, monitoring progress against schedules and budgets, and providing leadership in safety and quality management. The role involves creating technical reports, preparing proposals, generating invoices, and managing multidisciplinary teams, with shareholding opportunities within a mature, employee-owned firm.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Registration in good standing as a PEng in AB or ability to obtain registration through existing inter-jurisdictional agreements
- Construction Administration experience is an asset
- Proven ability to attract and retain clients and win projects
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and quality control
- 10–15 years of related technical experience
