Civil Engineering Intern

Job Summary
Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients while contributing to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for projects of varying scopes. Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to execute client visions for the built environment. Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations alongside Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices and standards. Interns gain proficiency in discipline-specific software including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS. This role is based in Kimley-Horn's Peachtree Corners, Georgia office and supports our commitment to quality and employee development.
Required Qualifications
- In the process of receiving an ABET accredited engineering degree
- Bachelor's degree
- Master's degree
- Civil and/or Environmental Engineering major
- Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering major
- Engineering Technology major
- Ability to utilize technical software programs on a regular basis
- Ability to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables
- Ability to contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design
