Job Summary
Conduct routine calculations applying basic engineering principles and prepare, revise plan documents for roadway design. Collect and prepare data for evaluation while performing engineering tasks using computer-assisted software and equipment. Provide support to engineering and project management associates on design and plan preparation projects. Collaborate with top associates on both design and plan preparation for highway infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited ABET university
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- 3.0 GPA or above
- Prior internship or related experience
- AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience
- Experience or exposure to FDOT plans preparation and design standards
- Specific interest in Transportation / Roadway Design
