Job Summary
Conduct engineering analysis, design, field inspections, and site drainage and grading designs for transportation and public-works projects. Prepare permit applications, write reports, and coordinate design schedules with cross-functional disciplines including architectural and structural teams. Assist with project documentation, client relations, and periodic job site observations while monitoring design progress and reviewing documents for accuracy. Research commercially available equipment resources and support project work within budget constraints. Gain hands-on experience supporting real projects with a structured mentorship program during a 10-12 week summer internship in Aberdeen, SD.
Required Qualifications
- Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs
- Skill in the use of CAD software
- Skill in the use of Building Information Model
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
- Location: Aberdeen, SD
- Work Schedule: full-time in office
