Job Summary
Design and develop documents for public and private projects, including site plans, utility plans, road design, and grading plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform calculations for drainage, grading, foundation designs, stormwater management, and sanitary sewer systems. Contribute to preliminary concepts and full design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates under senior engineer oversight. Develop and refine CAD and BIM models for civil infrastructure while assisting with field inspection and data gathering. Ensure designs align with building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations for permitting. Attend municipal meetings and consult with regulatory agencies as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure
- 5+ years of post-graduation professional Civil Engineering experience
- Comfortable working in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer In Training (passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam)
- CSI-CDT certification
- Experience in HEC RAS or EPANET (water distribution)
