Job Summary
Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients while contributing to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis. Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce clients' visions for the future built environment. Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations alongside Kimley-Horn's and client's practices, procedures, and standards. Learn specific software programs including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS. Join the Seattle, Washington office in 2027 for a non-remote role where employees flourish within a culture prioritizing client success and quality.
Required Qualifications
- An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027 in one of the following majors: Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, Engineering Technology
- Must be able to utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients
- Must be able to contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects
- Must be able to solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines
- Must be able to develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client's practices, procedures, and standards
- Must be able to learn one or more software programs specific to disciplines: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS
- Must be available for in-person work at the Seattle, Washington office (not remote)
