Job Summary
Civil Engineer with 5+ years of experience needed for an onsite role based in our San Diego, CA offices. Ideal candidate is dependable, well-organized, versatile, and capable of civil engineering design and strong project management. Requires PE license in Civil Engineering and ability to work independently as well as in a team, with solid communication skills and a client-oriented mindset. Responsibilities include designing civil and water/wastewater projects for municipal clients, assisting in proposals and fee estimates, developing work plans and schedules, managing projects to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, performing studies and producing plans/reports in accordance with engineering standards, and maintaining positive client relationships. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred), PE license, 5+ years of relevant experience, experience as engineer of record/principal in charge, ability to write and critique proposals and plans, supervision of engineering/CAD staff, and strong customer-service skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of five years of practical work experience
- Experience as engineer of record or principal in charge on public projects
- Ability to write, review, and critique proposals, plans, designs, or fee estimates related to civil disciplines
- Technical direction or supervision of engineers/CAD technicians
- Excellent customer service and client interaction skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
