Job Summary
Civil Engineer-Water/Wastewater: Plan, design, and perform analysis on water/wastewater engineering projects such as pipelines; pumping stations; and treatment facilities. Serve as the firm’s representative to clients and regulatory authorities; produce correspondence, reports, and biddable documents; provide engineering support to inspection; assist with regulatory permitting and energy audits; capable of addressing multiple simultaneous assignments, on-time and within budgets. Requires 8+ years of experience, BS in Civil/Mechanical/Structural/Chemical Engineering, and professional licensure. Proficient in reading complex drawings and documents; strong communication and writing skills; AutoCAD capability a plus; familiarity with NJDEP regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
- Professional Licensure Required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
- Experience with hydraulics, piping, pumping stations, and treatment facilities
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings, schematics, specifications, and codes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare proposals, reports, and biddable documents
- Familiarity with NJDEP regulations and compliance requirements
- AutoCAD capability considered a plus
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, work to budgets, and mentor junior staff
