Job Summary
Lead the design and analysis of water distribution, wastewater collection, roadway paving, and stormwater drainage systems for municipal infrastructure projects. Perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, preparing detailed engineering reports and technical calculations. Develop plan and profile drawings and full construction document sets using Civil 3D and MicroStation. Support traffic signal design and analysis, including signal pole relocation and utility conflict coordination. Collaborate directly with survey crews to interpret topographic data and support SUE and construction observation efforts. Ensure all deliverables meet DOT standards and local municipal requirements (City of Houston, Sugar Land, Pearland, etc.). Manage assigned design tasks with a focus on accuracy, quality control, and on-time delivery. Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment where engineering and field execution align.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of civil engineering design experience, focused on municipal or infrastructure projects
- PE licensure in Texas
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of water, wastewater, roadway, and drainage design principles
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to work within a team-driven environment
