Job Summary
Civil Engineer (Urban Development) responsible for delivering design and documentation for land development and civil infrastructure projects in South East Queensland. Duties include delivering civil and infrastructure designs, drainage design with hydrological considerations, water and sewer design per MRWA standards, preparing servicing and development reports, collaborating with the Urban Development team and sub-consultants, and developing client relationships to generate new business. Requires 3+ years’ experience in a consultancy, tertiary Civil Engineering qualification, full driving license, knowledge of land development, storm water, flood modelling, Civil 12D/AutoCAD design, ability to manage multiple projects and budgets, and strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Open to full-time, part-time or job-share arrangements; hybrid remote option available.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Valid full driver’s license
- 3+ years experience as a civil engineer in a consultancy environment
- Knowledge of land development projects local to QLD
- Understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, flood modelling, civil infrastructure, roads and/or mining/resources
- Design of multi-disciplinary projects using 12D and AutoCAD
- Ability to manage multiple projects and budgets, meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Stakeholder engagements and business development abilities
- Experience with MRWA standards
