Job Summary
Lead and mentor the substation civil team; review designs for compliance; prepare DBM, EDS, cost estimates, material take offs, scopes of work, and design packages. Produce Issued for Construction drawings, write construction scopes of work, and provide engineering support during construction. Oversee As-Built drawings, project close-out data, earthworks, foundations, and structural aspects; guide design teams and develop tools/processes. Track progress, provide weekly updates to management, maintain standards, conduct quality control reviews, and support client relations. Some travel for site visits to provide technical support during construction.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
- Registered as an active member with APEGA
- Experience in civil design of high voltage substation facilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
