Job Summary
The Civil Engineer is responsible for the design and coordination of plans, specifications, and estimates for various transportation projects including highways, roads, intersections, and trails. Key responsibilities include producing engineering designs, developing accurate plans and reports, performing technical work from initial research through final plans, providing quality control reviews, and collaborating with the design team on detailed construction documents. Candidates should possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering, relevant licensure or experience, and a strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure or EIT with 7+ years of related experience
- Minimum of 5 years of continuous and progressive experience in design of transportation projects
- Thorough understanding of the AASHTO Policy on Geometric Design of Highways and Streets
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced level proficiency or higher in use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong skills in Excel
