Job Summary
Senior Civil Engineer to supervise the construction of roads, highways, bridges, and underpasses in Dubai. Responsibilities include inspecting and coordinating construction works to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines; reviewing contractors' shop drawings and proposed materials; conducting regular field inspections; preparing and reviewing technical reports (daily diaries, inspection reports, meeting minutes); coordinating with contractors, surveyors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues; overseeing inspectors and guiding contractor operations; reviewing as-built drawings; monitoring schedules and proposing deviations; collaborating with the senior engineering team to develop innovative solutions; ensuring compliance with local building codes and RTA standards; leveraging CAD tools for project deliverables; and participating in Day 1 onboarding.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in supervising the construction of roads, highways, bridges, and underpasses
- Experience working in Dubai and familiarity with local construction practices and regulations
- In-depth knowledge of bridge and underpass construction techniques and best practices
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with diverse teams
- Familiarity with RTA standards and approval processes (preferred)
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Ability to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
- Attendance at Day 1 onboarding at a local office as a condition of employment
