Job Summary
Design public infrastructure projects including roadway, utility, drainage, water, and wastewater improvements while preparing plans, specifications, estimates, and technical reports. Coordinate with clients, agencies, contractors, and subconsultants to manage project schedules, budgets, and overall delivery. Support construction administration by responding to field questions and review plans to ensure compliance with applicable standards and agency requirements. Mentor junior engineers and designers while participating in proposals and client meetings as your career grows. This role supports the Public Works team at R.E.Y. Engineers, a multidisciplinary firm serving public and private clients throughout California.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- California Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Approximately 7+ years of civil engineering experience
- Experience with Public Works or municipal infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong communication and project coordination skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with water, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure
- Familiarity with hydraulic or utility modeling software
- Construction support or construction management experience
- Desire to mentor younger engineers and continue growing into project leadership
