Job Summary
Civil Engineer / Project Manager with a Florida-registered PE and 5+ years of post-licensing experience sought to support public-sector civil projects (water, sewer, and small pump stations). Responsibilities include providing production engineering design, meeting with clients and agency personnel, tracking tasks to ensure on-schedule and within-budget delivery, performing QA/QC, mentoring junior staff, and leveraging client relationships to pursue utility work. Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university, PE in Florida (or eligibility via reciprocity within 6 months), and knowledge of FDOT standards and stormwater modeling software (ICPR4). Relocation assistance is provided to qualified candidates and roles can be based in multiple Florida cities (Fort Myers, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville). Relocation to multiple Florida cities is supported.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months through reciprocity
- 5+ years of post-licensing PE experience in civil engineering
- Strong project experience with utility design (water, sewer, and small pump station collection/distribution)
- Knowledge of stormwater modeling software (e.g., ICPR4)
- Familiarity with FDOT standards
- Ability to mentor and lead junior staff
- Excellent client and contractor liaison skills
- Production engineering design expertise for civil projects and technical reports
- Experience meeting with clients, contractors, and agency personnel to maintain relationships
- Track and complete project tasks on schedule and within budget
- QA/QC to ensure design quality
- Relocation to multiple Florida cities: Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, SW Florida
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
