Job Summary
Lead the design and execution of retail, commercial, and residential land development projects while acting as the primary client contact to manage expectations and relationships. Oversee project teams, assign resources, and drive efficiency to ensure deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements. Present at public meetings and represent clients before municipal agencies and stakeholders, collaborating across disciplines and mentoring junior engineers. Requires a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and leadership skills. This role is part of BL Companies, an ENR Top 500 firm expanding with hybrid work options.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a civil engineer
- PE license in the state they will be working out of
- experience with leadership and mentoring junior staff members
- 10+ years of experience in land development engineering
- Proven leadership experience managing full-time staff
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
- Experience with municipal agencies, regulatory bodies, and private sector clients
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
