Job Summary
Lead the design and execution of retail, commercial, and residential land development projects from start to finish. Act as the primary client contact, building strong relationships and managing expectations while overseeing project teams to ensure quality, schedule, and budgetary requirements are met. Present at public meetings and represent clients before municipal agencies and stakeholders, collaborating across disciplines within BL Companies and with external partners. Mentor junior engineers and staff to foster a strong learning environment. This role requires a PE license and 10+ years of experience in land development engineering. BL Companies is an ENR Top 500 firm expanding with hybrid work options.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a civil engineer
- PE license in the state they will be working out of
- experience with leadership and mentoring junior staff members
- 10+ years of experience in land development engineering
- Proven leadership experience managing full-time staff
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
- Experience with municipal agencies, regulatory bodies, and private sector clients
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
