Job Summary

Civil Engineer- PE position responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance for due diligence, remediation, permitting, design, and construction of infrastructure projects in public and private sectors. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data from sites and GIS, supporting modeling and concept development, coordinating with engineers and planners, preparing technical reports and documentation, ensuring compliance with design standards, safety, and regulatory requirements, and contributing to both early-phase and execution-stage project work. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, 4+ years of experience, and a Professional Engineering license. Will collaborate with cross-functional teams, interact with regulatory agencies and clients, and may involve travel. Describes duties such as data collection from sites, surveys, GIS data, geotechnical data, reporting, and preparation of tables, charts, calculations, and illustrations to interpret findings and support design and construction decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or closely related discipline
  • 4+ years of relevant post education experience in engineering discipline and prior civil design experience
  • Professional Engineering License required
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and permitting
  • Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management; including rehabilitation and new design
  • Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and understand requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies
  • Moderate proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, technology, math principles, predictive models, spreadsheets, and tools
  • Experience with discipline-specific design software
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements
  • Occasional travel may be required
