Job Summary
Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets while assisting with scope and budget preparation for new task orders. Lead aviation airside and landside design project teams using AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create roadway design plans, profiles, and geometric layouts. Ensure proper codes, regulations, and standards are applied during calculations, analysis, and the development of civil plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Adjust data, research code issues, and document findings to support the successful completion of projects under direction. Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia and work on-site five days per week in Wilmington or Richmond.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years of civil engineering design experience on transportation projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Experience in cost estimating, project phasing, and scheduling
- Must be capable of effective oral and written communication
- Must be able to work on-site in our Wilmington or Richmond office five days per week
