Job Summary
Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets while assisting with scope preparation and bid estimates for airport-related projects. Lead civil engineering design for airside and landside aviation projects, utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create roadway layouts, profiles, and geometric designs. Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, and local codes by adjusting data, researching regulatory issues, and preparing technical specifications and cost estimates. Manage project phasing and scheduling to drive successful project completion. Available in Richmond, VA or Wilmington, NC, this role requires five days on-site weekly. TBE, a full-service aviation engineering firm headquartered in Charlotte, supports airport planning and construction across North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Florida.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia (or ability to obtain)
- 5+ years of civil engineering design experience on transportation projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Experience in cost estimating, project phasing, and scheduling
- Must be capable of effective oral and written communication
- Must be able to work on-site in our Richmond or Wilmington office five days per week
