Civil Engineer

Job Summary
Lead engineers and technicians in site development projects, providing technical supervision for pavement, utilities, grading, and drainage. Manage demands of in-house and external surveying support while developing proposals, scopes, and fee tracking. Build relationships with City departments and present at hearings, commissions, and council meetings. Handle client development, financial accounting, and responsiveness for office, retail, industrial, and institutional site designs, as well as residential subdivisions and municipal roadway projects. Requires Texas PE registration, six years of experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS. Full-time exempt role in El Paso, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Professional engineer registration in Texas
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the types of responsibilities listed above
- Must be able to attend City Council/client meetings as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience including plans production and management of the following tasks: Experience with entitlements such as Platting, Zoning, and Municipal Permitting
- Experience with Site Planning and Development Master Planning
- Grading and Drainage Design
- Street and Alley Design
- Site Design
- Water and Wastewater Design
- Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis and Design
- General Civil Design
- Construction Management
- Software including AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors
