Job Summary
Civil Engineer responsible for designing and analyzing structural and civil systems for government/institutional facilities (foundations, framing, slabs, retaining walls, and support structures) and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs across complex projects. Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical criteria in compliance with codes and standards; perform material selection, cost estimating, quantity takeoffs, and structural modeling using Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, SAFE, Bluebeam, and RSMeans. Support construction administration through site visits, RFIs, and inspections; hybrid work arrangement with ~2 days in the office; location is College Park, GA. Must be located in the College Park, GA area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from ABET-accredited program
- 8+ years of experience in design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities OR Masters degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Current and relevant knowledge of building codes
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in engineering analysis and design software tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability
- Preferred: AutoCAD proficiency; PE license in good standing; knowledge of National Airspace System components
