Job Summary
Lead the design and permitting process for land development projects. Design stormwater management systems and erosion control measures to ensure regulatory compliance. Prepare and manage permit applications while coordinating with regulatory agencies. Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineering staff. Collaborate with project managers to ensure efficient and timely project execution. Conduct quality reviews of design plans, calculations, and technical documentation. Utilize industry-standard engineering software to develop designs and project plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in land development design and permitting, with expertise in stormwater management and erosion control
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain it through reciprocity
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and stormwater modeling tools
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets, reports, and presentations using Word and PowerPoint for both Teams and in-person meetings
