Job Summary

Obtain Professional Engineer registration for assigned projects and independently devise new design approaches for complex multi-disciplinary tasks. Mentor less-experienced engineers, supervise drafters and designers, and assist the Project Manager in technical, budgetary, and schedule implementation. Communicate with customers regarding project business, prepare estimates, and report on project status to management. Perform domestic travel to meet with clients and visit job sites, while occasionally working overtime up to 20 hours per week. Assist with presentations to secure future business and support strategic planning efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • minimum of eight (8) years engineering experience
  • Master's Degree in Engineering
  • minimum of six (6) years engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer Registration
  • Demonstrated ability to act as Engineer of Record and seal drawings when needed
  • ability to work overtime, 10 to 20 hours per week when workload is necessary

  • ability to communicate with Customers concerning project business
  • ability to keep project costs within budget
  • ability to report to management on project, budget, and schedule status
  • ability to prepare estimates for proposed projects
  • ability to routinely supervise Drafters, Designers, Technicians, and direct other Engineers as assigned
  • ability to assist with or prepare presentations to existing or future Customers
  • ability to prepare reports and other assistance as required to support management in strategic planning for the Company
  • All qualifications of an Engineer III
