Job Summary
Civil Engineer Intern supporting Roadway Repair and Maintenance contract management for DOT milling contracts. Responsibilities include procuring contracts from design specs and estimates to bidding and registering contracts; regularly entering field data into the MCMU database, ensuring data integrity, and providing training on using the MCMU access database. Generate daily average milled miles reports, perform cost estimates, prepare contract estimates and budgets, manage task orders, review field data before database entry, and collaborate with other City agencies on projects. Requires preparing and managing contractor requisitions and ensuring compliance and accuracy in invoices; in-person work at 55 Water St, New York, NY. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
