Job Summary
Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) role with WSP in Kamloops, BC. Support the design and analysis of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure; assist in designing linear infrastructure such as watermains and sewers; prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents; contribute to design reports and calculations; participate in field reviews, construction support, and contract administration; collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver client-focused solutions. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and eligibility for a provincial EIT designation (EGBC); familiarity with civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D) and strong technical writing skills; willingness to engage in field activities and learn within a team-based environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for, or registration as, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC
- Foundational knowledge of municipal infrastructure design (water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway)
- Experience or coursework with civil design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D)
- Strong technical writing skills to support reports, memos, and design documentation
- Willingness to participate in field reviews and construction support activities
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn and contribute in a team-based environment
