Job Summary
Civil Engineer II to support planning, design, and delivery of BRT and LRT projects nationally, with a focus on the Austin, TX; Houston, TX; or New Orleans, LA offices. Responsibilities include roadway design, drainage design, maintenance of traffic, station design, civil/site grading, transit signal priority systems, coordinating with transit agencies and stakeholders, guiding multidisciplinary teams through all project phases from conceptual design through construction, ensuring compliance with FTA guidelines and local codes, and mentoring entry engineers. Requires BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, and experience in transit infrastructure design. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are desired; sponsorship for U.S. employment is not available.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Experience with transit infrastructure design (LRT, BRT, commuter rail)
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor entry engineers
