Job Summary
Design project components using office software, modeling tools, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform engineering calculations and problem-solving, prepare material specifications, and develop design details to complete plan sets. Conduct research for objective summary reports, assist in preparing cost estimates, and perform field observations, inspections, and data collection as directed. Communicate effectively with clients and internal design teams under senior staff guidance. This role supports zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration for large-scale industrial, distribution, and public land development projects including schools, jails, and parks. Candidates will work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- EIT preferred
- 2–8 years of professional experience in land development civil engineering preferred (entry-level candidates will be considered)
- Experience preparing civil engineering site plans (site layout, utilities, grading & drainage, erosion control, stormwater management) is a plus
