Job Summary
Design, develop, and deliver civil engineering projects from concept through construction, including sitework, urban roads, stormwater management, and utility design. Coordinate zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations with local municipalities, regulatory agencies, and utility providers. Perform site evaluations, due diligence, and feasibility assessments for municipal and public agency infrastructure projects. Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, drainage reports, and permit submittals. Collaborate with project managers to define scope, schedules, and budgets, while managing project timelines and supporting resources. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, conduct quality control reviews, and coordinate with surveyors and other engineers for integrated project delivery. Requires a Texas PE license with six years of experience and proficiency in Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas
- at least 6 years of relevant experience in civil engineering
- experience serving local public agency clients
- Familiarity with permitting processes with the coastal bend region
- Proven project and/or task management experience
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, including grading, pavements, drainage, stormwater management, and utility design
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and common engineering software tools
